Many people want to play D&D, but not all groups have someone to be the Dungeon Master. We have the opposite problem.. we have too many DMs!
Welcome! Too Many DMs is a narrative play podcast spanning adventures across countless worlds, edited into snappy, bite-sized chunks. With every player being a Dungeon Master, each world is as different as the storyteller behind it. Expect anything from wild one-shots to sweeping cinematic sagas. Come along - we’ve got too many stories to keep them all to ourselves.
The only reason we got a microphone for our table was to record and archive our stories (long-term memory is in short supply these days.) For our first few attempts, we borrowed a microphone from our university. We enjoyed it so much that we invested in dedicated microphones for each player. We began implementing recording techniques and etiquette. We even began dipping our toes into sound effects for the particularly exciting scenes!
After a few months of this, we began to notice how much we enjoyed listening to our own recordings. We thought others might, too. So, here we are - seeing what happens. Please have patience with us as we develop our style and figure out how to make audio sound good. It's harder than we expected!
